High visibility jumper and other pieces of Railcorp clothing must be in compliance with the prescribed colours and types. Employees who fail to do so are not allowed to work on the site. A high visibility jumper must be worn by workers as well as the visitors in the premises at all times.

Approved Standards for High Visibility Garments
In order to comply with AS/NZS 1906.4:2010 and AS/NZS 4602.1:2011 standards, your high visibility jumper must have Fluorescent Orange as the background colour and retro-reflective silver strips fitted on it. Reflective silver strips are mandatory on every piece of high visibility clothing. The strips can have the width of up to 50 mm. The strips must be positioned on the garment according to AS4602.1:2011 standards.
In case of a high visibility jumper, safety can be further increased by placing retro-reflective strips on the sleeves as well. Silver strips of not more than 50 mm width are recommended around the wrist and the elbow.
Lastly, make sure that the wording and the logos do not hide more than 20 percent of the high visibility area on the garment. When it comes to Railcorp clothing, red and green colours are strictly prohibited as they can be easily mistaken for a flag or signal.
